Experience is the Key for Dr. Gail Weingast
March 29, 2017
It wasn’t always a given that Gail Weingast was destined to become an illustrious radiologist. Consider that she didn’t start her education not by taking pre-med, but by earning a degree in Spanish from Jackson College, Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts in 1969. That all changed soon after, however, when she soon enrolled in the Boston University School of Medicine and earned the title of Dr. Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Currently, Dr. Gail Weingast is highly regarded as being among the most important radiology specialists in the country. She has been at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut for the last couple of decades and she is now that organization’s Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging. During that time, she has led her department into its current reputation as being among the best in the country and the world. Overall, Dr. Weingast credits her nearly four decades of education and experience for her demonstrated ability to do such great things.
